Denny Kim, MD, MPH

Dr. Kim is senior vice president, chief safety officer and head of Global Vaccine Safety, with responsibility for leading safety and pharmacovigilance. With nearly two decades of infectious disease and safety experience, he joined Novavax in September 2021 from Johnson & Johnson (J&J) where he was part of the Office of the Chief Medical Officer. At J&J, he had oversight of safety strategies and activities across all therapeutic areas, including direct management for the safety of the J&J/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine. Earlier, he held roles of increasing responsibility with Horizon Pharma, Takeda, Astellas and Abbott. Dr. Kim received his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, a master of public health degree from Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, and a bachelor of arts degree from Yale University.
