Summary of the Position:

We are seeking an Executive Assistant to provide executive level administrative support to the President & Chief Executive Officer. The position will report directly into the President & Chief Executive Officer and will be located at headquarters in Gaithersburg, MD.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Build and maintain relationships with President & Chief Executive Officer and senior leaders by providing trusted support to President & Chief Executive Officer
  • Complete administrative tasks such as scheduling, writing and editing emails, drafting memos and preparing communications to facilitate CEO’s ability to lead the organization
  • Proactive follow up and management of confidential information
  • Maintaining and managing executive schedule and calendar, prioritizing most sensitive matters
  • Coordinating changing travel schedules for executive for domestic and international travel
  • Creating and maintaining expense reports
  • Assisting with special projects and research as needed
  • Establishing and maintaining comprehensive and accurate records
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 12 years' experience with 5 years supporting senior management
  • Time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem solver and decision maker
  • Team player and collaborative personality
  • Highly flexible and able to work with ambiguous requirements
  • Highly competent, outstanding organizational skills, detail oriented and thorough follow through
  • Must be proactive and experienced in helping manage the business
  • Must be able to work in a trusted capacity and maintain confidential information with the utmost integrity
  • Must have advanced knowledge of MS Office and advanced expertise with Word and PowerPoint

Preferred Requirements:

  • Prior experience working in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry
